Wangi Falls, Litchfield National Park, Northern Territory, Australia

Litchfield National Park encloses much of the spectacular Tabletop Range, which is a wide sandstone plateau mostly surrounded by cliffs. During the monsoon season, from October to May, four major waterfalls thunder from the cliffs to tropical rock pools many metres below. During the rest of the year the waterfalls flow more gently. One of those waterfalls is Wangi Falls. It is one of the largest and most popular attractions in Litchfield National Park. Here I was looking to capture a different angle of these popular falls. Instead of photographing from the traditional angles below, I decided to photograph high above the falls, just before the crystal clear water cascades down into the waterhole below.
