OVERVIEW

We are seeking results orientated team players with superior interpersonal skills who have the talent to sell Scott's unique artworks and gifts to our broad range of clients. Our ideal candidates are fun, team players, yet always professional with a can-do attitude.

As part of a small team, you will principally be responsible for in-store sales and customer service. You will introduce people to Scott Leggo products, helping them learn about our brand and shop for artworks and gifts that suit their needs, giving support in-store, online and over the phone. You will also contribute to various aspects of our business operations.

We are a brand built around helping others experience Australia. You’ll share our passion for the Australian outdoors. Your success will be related to your knowledge of Australian locations featured in Scott's collection.

As a sales professional, you will be someone who seeks continuous improvement for yourself and the role, to achieve high sales performance.

This casual position is in our Canberra gallery and will require availability on weekdays with additional shifts available weekends during peak periods.

If you can walk up to a complete stranger, light up an authentic and engaging conversation, talk them through our artworks and gifts, explain options and narrow down their selection from one of Scott's hundreds of photographs and sell it… you’re looking good.

REQUIRMENTS

To be succesfull for this role, you will:

Be an Australian resident.

Have Australian travel experience with an above average knowledge of the Australian outdoors.

Have superior interpersonal skills. You will have superior interpersonal and liaison skills to quickly build strong relationships with people. You will have presence and impact, with a proven ability to interact effectively with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds.

Have excellent sales skills. You must be confident and engaging with excellent communication skills to effectively handle customer queries, resolve objections and close sales. Proven success in sales roles is essential.

Be confident in dealing with ambiguity and able to operate independently.You will have the ability to adapt to challenges
while remaining calm in a constantly changing retail environment. You will possess a proactive approach to addressing issues, often before they arise, to deliver an amazing customer experience. You will be curious, quick-thinking and highly self-motivated, with high levels of maturity, excellent judgement and the ability to assess risk. As you will often operate alone in the gallery, you will need to demonstrate the highest level of personal integrity and professionalism. You will possess consistent attention to detail, as the role requires you to accurately manage our point-of-sale system.
