Horseshoe Falls, Mt Field National Park, Tasmania, Australia
An aspect I truly love about Tasmania is that so many great wilderness locations are easily accessible. Horseshoe Falls is just one example. I had previously visited these falls but the weather had never been great for photographing the truly relaxing feeling of this location. On this occasion, the persistent afternoon rain stopped just long enough and a break in the clouds allowed a small amount of sunlight to stream in over the falls. It was a stunning and relaxing scene before me. As the camera clicked, I hoped that the resultant image would truly convey how I felt at the time - being able to leave aside everyday pressures and enjoy a small Tasmanian escape.
