"Camping out in winter snow above the treeline, is a somewhat restricted activity in Australia. There's not a lot of territory (in Australian terms!) that fits this bill, and the snow cover only lasts for a few months a year. It's thus pretty special to wake up in the frigid temperatures of early morning to get up before sunrise and be greeted with clear skies and uninterrupted views to Australia's highest mountain, Mount Kosciuszko. With the first light of the day illuminating the snow before me with soft pinks, it created the impression of a scene somewhat warmer than my fingers suggested. A great way to start the day in the Australian alpine." - Scott
