Ladies Bath Falls is a small cascade located on Mount Buffalo in Victoria’s Alpine region. The falls flow over smooth granite rock slabs into a series of shallow pools, framed by large boulders characteristic of the plateau’s ancient granite landscape. Reportedly, the falls gained their name in the early 1900s. Travellers would stop here to cool off on their way to the Mount Buffalo chalet. The men and women would separate and Ladies Bath is where the women would come to experience the refreshing waters, rest and bathe, and in the summer, to escape the heat of the nearby Ovens and Buckland valleys.
