Flying above Cockburn Range afforded me a spectacular view of the majestic orange cliffs that make up the Cockburn Range in the Kimberley.Leaning out of the helicopter as we ascended this section I was struck by just how imposing these cliffs are and the impressive geological aging that has occured to create the stunning rock formations.
The Cockburn Range is shaped like a vast round fortress and rises more than 600 metres above the plains. From a distance, there’s no hint of the deep gorges and permanent pools which lie hidden within.
