"Heading out in the middle of a snow storm presents both challenges and opportunities. Over this day, with winds reaching up to 100 km/hr I always had to keep the lens pointed away from the incoming wind. Any time I turned the lens it was covered in snow and ice too quickly to clean. But, always having to have my back to the wind to photograph, meant I was presented with the snow blown side of snow gums. With these trees before me, I got to watch as the snow and ice built up - a great opportunity to capture these snow gums in the harshest of winter conditions." - Scott
