The Karawari river is marked by abundant birdlife, impressive architecture of haus tambarans, beautiful stilt villages, the long canoes, misty dawns and spectacular sunsets that make this an unforgettable place. The Karawari river runs into the Korosameri and then into the Sepik. The Sepik itself, and its tributaries are one of the most famous features of PNG, not just because of the fine art produced in the area but because it has captured the collective imagination of adventure travellers. Home to isolated people, it represents to outsiders something quintessentially primeval and an embodiment of the idea of a densely populated river region.

We use fine art cotton paper from either Hahnemühle or Canson. This exceptionally high quality fine art paper is acid free and printed using genuine pigment inks - favoured by galleries and collectors because of their print longevity.
As a print only, this requires framing, allowing you to select your own mounting and framing options. The listed size includes a 8cm white border around each side of the photo, allowing sufficient room to accommodate various framing choices.
Unframed prints come rolled in a protective tube, making them our recommendation for international customers.

Small Frame:The small frame (2cm wide x 2cm deep) is limited to our smallest sizes of framed prints. Your fine art paper print is mounted with a matt border, framed and completed with acrylic that protects against 70% of UV. The listed size is for the total finished framed dimensions of this artwork
Shadow Box Frame:Your fine art paper print is mounted and framed in a contemporary shadow box frame (27mm wide x 48mm deep) that is available in white or raw wood.
It is completed with museum grade acrylic (rather than glass) as it is light weight, transports well (doesn't break) and protects against 99% of UV.
Framed prints come ready to hang. The listed size is the total finished frame size, including the frame and border around the image.

The photo is printed on metallic paper, creating a 'pearlescent' metallic gloss finish. The print is face mounted onto optically clear, museum grade acrylic which offers 99% UV protection.
The print is backed with treated aluminium, protecting your print from front to back. It is then finished with a diamond edge polisher.
