Mount Hotham, Alpine National Park, Victoria, Australia
I was out photographing in the middle of a big snow dump on Mount Hotham. The associated fog was coming and going and I was in search of some trees I had identified during summer. I knew I was close and as the fog cleared this snow gum revealed itself before me. I then just had to battle the strong winds and constant snow to keep my camera lens dry and not get blown away.
I love to experience events like this as the snow falls and bringing back photos of true alpine winter moments. Spending time out in these conditions really is rewarding, whether I'm out photographing on snow shoes or skiing.
