Icon of the South-West

Sugarloaf rock, Leeuwin Naturaliste National Park, Western Australia, Australia

Sugarloaf rock is arguably one of the most impressive seascapes in Western Australia. Sugarloaf Rock is in the Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park and this impressive rock formation dominates the coastline near Cape Naturaliste. Sugarloaf Rock is also a great place for bushwalking and bird watching and it is the only known nesting site in the south west of the red-tailed tropic bird. On this morning the rock and its surrounds were cast in beautiful light as clouds and rain approached over the Indian ocean.
