Hopetoun Falls, Great Otway National Park, Victoria, Australia
The Otways receives the highest amount of rain in Victoria and has the largest concentration of waterfalls in Australia. I took this photograph of the famous Hopetoun falls following recent rainfalls. On this occasion I chose not to focus just on the waterfall itself, but to try and showcase some of the other features of the area including the tall tree ferns, moss covered rocks and decomposing fallen logs. All these add to the true feeling and sense of place that make such waterfalls in the Otway forests so special.
