Beauchamp Falls, Otway National Park, Victoria, Australia

The magnificent Beauchamp Falls plunge into a fern fringed pool, surrounded by delicate rainforest habitat of magnificent mountain ash forests, large myrtle beech, blackwood and thick ferns. I wanted to capture the sheer power and spectacle of this picturesque waterfall crashing over a ledge into a large pool, with the movement of the tree fern fronds created by the rushing air from the falls. I felt it was this movement that gave a sense of the massive volume of water coming over the falls following recent heavy rains.
