Lake Burley Griffin, Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia
During autumn the edge of Lake Burley Griffin in Canberra has some brilliant colour, most notably the red rows of trees that line the lake in front of the High Court and National Library. Often at this time of year the lake has a layer of fog sitting on it during the early morning hours. On this occasion however, as I waited for sunrise, fog shrouded the Canberra CBD (known locally as Civic) while the lake itself remained free of fog leaving the view towards Black Mountain and other capital buildings clear.
