F-22 Raptor, 90th Fighter Squadron, United States Air Force
The F-22 Raptor is the most advanced and capable operational fighter in the world. It is the world's only operational fifth-generation fighter, blending stealth, speed, agility and sensor fusion. The aircraft has been in operational service with the U.S. Air Force since December 2005. This image of an F-22 Raptor from the Alaskan based 90th Fighter Squadron at Elmedorf AFB was taken after a passing shower. The water drops are visible running off the aircraft canopy and fuselage, adding extra detail to the image.
