On what was a stormy winter day, I captured the setting sun's last rays breaking through the cloud to illuminate the far cliffs. It added a feeling of warmth to an otherwise windy and wet day.
The Bay of Islands Coastal Park has spectacular ocean views and many other memorable features. It protects a variety of rare and threatened flora and fauna species in its coastal heathland environment. The park includes a number small bays, such as Crofts Bay, offering magnificent views and secluded beaches.
