Yellow Water (Ngurrungurrudjba) Wetlands, Kakadu National Park, Northern Territory, Australia
I spent a couple of days exploring along the waterways of the Yellow Water region located in the centre of Kakadu National Park. It offered a fantastic experience of Yellow Water’s diverse wildlife including some huge saltwater crocodiles and astonishing birdlife of Kakadu’s World Heritage-listed wetlands. Late on this day, as we motored through the wetlands, this tree stood out on its own, an outlier amongst the hot yet dramatic scenery of it's surrounds.
Yellow Water is a landlocked billabong brimming with native flora and fauna and is one of World Heritage-listed Kakadu National Park's best-known landmarks.
