Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia
Australia's national capital, Canberra is affectionately known as 'the Bush Capital'.
Canberra is one of the world's few planned cities and is the only Australian capital that is not on or near the coast. It is surrounded by bush and most of Canberra's suburbs are adjoined by native bushland. This close proximity to the bush results in great access to native flora and fauna including kangaroos and koalas. Canberrans are fortunate to experience the benefits of living in a capital city and at the same time be so close to nature. With such easy access on their doorsteps, many enjoy a connection to nature and outdoor activities.
