Karri Forest, Pemberton, Western Australia, Australia

I had spent the day hiking through the Karri forest with my wife along some of the great bushwalking tracks in the Pemberton region. You find a whole new level of tranquillity among spring wildflowers covering the forest floor and 400 year old timber giants. As the sun was going down I explored this road looking to capture a scene that represented the towering Karri trees beyond.

The roads around Pemberton wind through biodiverse forest landscapes of South-West Western Australia. The impressive Karri trees reach heights of up to 90 metres and it's hard not to gaze in awe at these towering giants.
