Lewis National Park, Queensland, Australia

On this trip to tropical north Queensland one thing I couldn’t escape was the proximity of the rainforest to the coast. Just after sunrise the early light hit the trees on the shoreline while the mountains in the background emerged from the mist. It was a clear temptation to what lay only a short distance away. Succumbing to the temptation, I headed to the mountains and spent the rest of the day exploring and photographing the rainforests while the clouds and mist remained.
