Snow Lines

Kosciuszko National Park, New South Wales, Australia

It felt like the middle of nowhere as I stood here alone and completely isolated. Snow camping in the backcountry of Kosciuszko is an amazing yet sometimes challenging experience. With few visual references during snow storms, everything a similar colour and no one else in sight, it's easy to feel utterly remote. Capturing this feeling in photographs can be hard, but this scene of ice and snow before sunrise on a cold winter morning epitomises much of the beauty yet isolation I've experienced in this part of Australia.
