Googong, New South Wales, Australia
It was a cold winter's morning as I waited. Before sunrise, the sun started lighting up the sky and I instantly felt warmer. The sky show before me seemed appropriate, representing a new dawn on the farm land that was about to be developed into a large housing estate.
This location is now home to the Googong township, situated on a 780 hectare site just 16km south east of Parliament House in Canberra. The picturesque site was formerly grazing land and is characterised by gently undulating slopes and plains, and dominated by the dramatic mountain backdrop of the Molonglo Ranges.
