This weekend in Melbourne saw the annual judging of the Australian Professional Photography Awards (APPA). Photographic prints, created by outstanding professional photographers from the Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP) were judged in this national competition. This is Australia’s pre-eminent professional photography event. Open to professional photographers from all disciplines, it seeks to reward current Australian image making. Professional photographers from Australia and all over the world compete in a number of categories, and for the coveted title of "Professional Photographer of the Year"

I'm pleased to announce that I received two Silver awards for my photographs 'The Pumphouse' and 'The Edge Of Wilderness'. Both these images were photographed in Tasmania earlier this year. It's always great to receive recognition from the industry and these awards push all of us as professional photographers to improve creatively and maintain a high standard in what we do.
